My name is Aurélien, I am a writer and film editor based in London. As a visual artist and storyteller, I see the way media is now fully integrated in our lifestyle; every day we are being fed with audiovisual content that no longer serve an artistic purpose but are rather functioning as a form of propaganda that are cluttering our minds. In an age where you can get everything delivered to your door within minutes and watch thousands of movies and TV shows by clicking on a remote, we have become used to abundance and immediacy which ultimately makes us unwilling to commit to anything. I myself struggle to pick something to watch or read because this overabundance is so overwhelming that I choose to go back within my comfort zone, watching the same sitcoms, TV shows and favourite films over and over again. Nothing wrong with that of course, but I have become aware that this habit considerably slows down my ability to ingest new art.
My goal with HOOKED PICTURES is to find ways to bring my stories to life while simultaneously sharing my opinions and recommending great films to watch.
